A Yucca Valley convicted felon was arrested Friday after he was found with hundreds of rounds of live ammunition. Deputies were called to the 7100 block of Lomita Road in Joshua Tree just before 8 a.m. because a man, later identified as Eddie Brandon, 50, was walking around the property with a BB gun because he felt he was in danger. Deputies determined that Brandon had a bag containing more than 200 round of live ammunition, as well as a loaded 10-round magazine. Brandon admitted the ammunition belonged to him, but as a convicted felon, he is not allowed to possess or own ammunition. Eddie Brandon was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of ammunition, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $35,000.
