YUCCA VALLEY FELON ACCUSED OF CARRYING CONCEALED KNIFE

A Yucca Valley convicted felon was arrested Wednesday, accused of having a concealed knife and drugs on his person. At about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, a deputy stopped Cory Rifenbery, 29, who was riding a bicycle near Rabbit Trail and Sage Avenue in Yucca Valley. Rifenbery is on post-release community supervision. During a search of Rifenbery, the deputy discovered a fixed blade knife in his right front pocket and suspected methamphetamine inside Rifenbery’s backpack. Cory Rifenbery was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed knife, and violating the terms of his PRCS. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
