An argument between a father and son ended in the arrest of the father, accused of assault. Deputies were called to the 55500 block of Navajo Trail in Yucca Valley just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning. The father, Remigio Matias, 53, had been drinking and arguing with his son when Matias grabbed a baseball bat and started swinging it inside the house. The son said Matias swung the bat at him, but missed, although several items inside were broken by the bat. After an investigation, Remigio Matias was arrested on suspicion of assault with a weapon, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
