Yucca Valley Family starts gofundme after DUI Crash injures family members

A Yucca Valley family is asking for the public’s help after a young couple were injured in a crash caused by a suspected DUI driver. February 5 at around 3:30 p.m., Deputies responded to a crash at Palomar Ave and Yucca Trail. They said Isaac Jimenez, 41, of El Centro, ran a red light in front of a Kia with Jeremy and Gillian Dixon of Yucca Valley.  The victims collided with Jimenez at 45 mph, causing major damages to both vehicles. The Dixons were both transported to Desert Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.  Jimenez appeared to be under the influence of drugs at the time of the collision.

Family members have started a gofund me page for the Dixons, they had just about paid off their car which was totaled and will be out of work for a while. The family is looking to raise money for them to pay their bills for the next couple of months while they are healing. Jeremy has a torn ligament in his leg and Gillian had to get surgery on her intestines, has a fractured collar bone and two fingers.
