The Town of Yucca Valley Community Services Department is kicking off new fitness programs this week, focusing on strength, flexibility, and self-expression in a supportive and welcoming environment.
In Barre Fusion Pilates, adult participants will engage in a low-impact, full-body workout The class blends the grace of barre movements with the core-focused techniques of Pilates. This program is designed to tone muscles, improve flexibility, and enhance posture through high-repetition exercises that strengthen the body. No prior experience is required, making it accessible to all fitness levels. This class will be held weekly, and the first session is Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Expressive Movement Fitness features a dynamic and energizing workout, combining dance-inspired movement, rhythm, and self-expression to help participants build strength, improve flexibility, and reduce stress. This class is also open to all fitness levels and encourages individuals to explore creative movement in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The first session kicks off on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Both classes will be taught by Lara Bennett, a dedicated dancer and fitness professional with extensive experience in movement-based disciplines. The classes cost $8 and will be held in the Cholla Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
