A Yucca Valley couple was arrested last week after Walmart security watched them “price swapping” and trying to steal other items from the store. A deputy was called to the store about 8:20 a.m. Friday by store security who said they had been watching Ronnie Zink, 24, and Isaac Ayala, 30, switch price tags on merchandise and hide other items under their clothing. When Zink and Ayala walked out of the store without paying for the items, valued at about $1400, they were detained. During a search of Zink, the deputy also found suspected methamphetamine that had been laced with fentanyl and Xanax. Ronnie Zink and Isaac Ayala were arrested on suspicion of grand theft, and Zink was also arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $25,000 each.
