The Yucca Valley Town Council and Planning Commission will meet in a joint session for the third time tonight. On the agenda again tonight, the Town Council will be asked to approve Planning Commission recommendations to approve the General Plan Update project and the General Plan’s environmental impact report. The General Plan update has created special policy areas in the west end, Town Center, east side, and rural mixed use, along with residential overlays west of Kickapoo, between Palm and Sage Avenues, and between Airway and Avalon Avenues. The meeting is set for 6 p.m. tonight in the Yucca Room of the Community Center.
