Last night’s meeting began with a presentation from Jack Panichapan of Gillis + Panichapan Architects, the firm assigned to work on renovating the old town library with new additions such as office spaces for town officials and a council chambers that can double as a community room. The professional services agreement is expected to cost no more than $90,000 and was approved unanimously by the council. The council then discussed the town budget and approved an amendment for the fiscal year 2021-22 budget, authorizing an amount of approximately $5.8 million towards the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. To close the meeting, the council approved a proposed schedule of summer events organized and conducted by the Community Services Department.
