If you’re a Yucca Valley resident and have been doing some spring cleaning, mark Saturday, June 8 as the day to get rid of your junk. The town is holding a community clean-up event where you can drop-off your bagged household trash, scrap metal, electronics, appliances, mixed recycling, and tires (limit of 4 rimless) from 8 to noon.
Items not accepted at the community clean-up are green waste, commercial trash, demolition waste, or household hazardous waste. The drop-off location is in the vacant lot next to the public works yard in the Monterey Business Center, off Yucca Trail and Indio Avenue in Yucca Valley.
