Southern California Gas, also known as The Gas Company, will be installing new advanced meters on gas meters throughout the Morongo Basin, starting in late May. The Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring three informational meetings about the so-called Smart Meter project. The meetings will be held Wednesday, April 17. The first meeting is at 9 a.m. at the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce office, 56711 29 Palms Highway. The second meeting is at 11:30 in the Cholla Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
