YUCCA VALLEY BURGLARY

Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a residential burglary in Yucca Valley Thursday night. According to the Sheriff’s department, a resident was awakened at 11:16 p.m. by a sound from inside her home. She opened her bedroom door and saw a man standing inside another bedroom. The woman screamed, and the suspect fled through the bedroom window, which appeared to be how he entered the home. The suspect is described as a young Hispanic male, about 20 years old, with brownish hair and a mustache, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds; and wearing a light-colored T-shirt and dark-colored shorts. Deputies conducted an extensive area check but were unable to locate the suspect. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s dispatch at 760-365-2364. The Sheriff’s department reminds residents to keep their doors and windows locked for safety.
