The Yucca Valley High School boys’ soccer played a home game last night versus Cathedral City High School; varsity lost, 5 to 1.
The lone goal was scored by junior midfielder Alan Campos. Senior Captain Kyler Harlow was named Player of the Match for his leadership and effort. The game was the team’s last home game of the season and so the team thanked and honored its seniors: Fernando Linares, Tony Shama, Brody Arnhold, Daniel Goddard, Kyler Harlow, Alam Mendoza, and Nick Cervantez.
Junior Varsity lost a close game, 3 to 1.
The goal was scored by sophomore midfielder Joseph Rappazzo, who was also named Player of the Match for his effort and great attitude.
"We held our ground, we made it difficult and we scored one goal seconds into the second half. I'm proud of what these boys have accomplished and look forward to our two remaining games," said Coach Mendoza.
