Yucca Valley High School boys’ soccer team played its second home game of the season against Coachella Valley Monday. Varsity lost 3 to 10, junior varsity lost, 5 to 1.
In varsity, Carlos Rodriguez-Santos scored two goals and senior midfielder Seth Nazario scored off a header. Player of the match is Alan Campos for never giving up and always willing to put in the work; his hard work is a real inspiration to his teammates and coaches.
Coach Rodriguez said, “Our Trojan boys always keep playing hard no matter what the score is and that is what inspires me about our student athletes.”
Junior varsity lost, 5 to 1. The player of the match is Tyler Sine for his hard work and movement. Since scored off a penalty kick.
Coach Adan Mendoza said, “The team is developing and we end 2019 home record with an 0 and 2. It’s okay, the boys have plenty of time to get back in the race.”
