Yucca Valley High School boys’ basketball teams hosted Indio Tuesday Dec. 11.
Varsity lost, 88-62. Stand-outs were Anthony Olvera, with 9 points and six rebounds; Jr. Rodriguez, 11 points, and four steals; Luke Yakimow, 11 points and three rebounds; and Noah Roy, who had 11 points and six rebounds.
Junior varsity won, 54-37. Stand-outs were Tayten Shartel, 11 points and six rebounds; Troy Worrell, nine points and four steals; and Josh Perreira with 8 points and seven steals.
The frosh-soph team won 53-50 in overtime. Stand-outs were Demar Smith, 14 points and six steals; David Jimenez, 10 points and three steals; and Emmett Kelly, who scored nine points.
