YUCCA VALLEY BOYS’ BASKETBALL LOSES TO BANNING

In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School boys’ basketball teams travelled to Banning for their 11th league match. Both teams lost to the Broncos. Varsity lost 70-29; JV lost 64-62.

Top varsity players of the game were Elijah Roy, who scored 10 points; Luke Yakimow with nine points; and Noah Roy, with five points and six rebounds.  

The junior varsity team was down by 19 points and nearly pulled out the win, but lost 64-62.

Top JV players were Demar Smith with 28 points and eight steals; Kaden Bailey who made 13 points; Aidan Gamboa with eight points and rebounds; and Tua Kakalia who had 10 rebounds.
