YUCCA VALLEY BOYS’ BASKETBALL FALLS TO TEMECULA PREP IN DOUBLE OVERTIME

The Yucca Valley High School boys’ basketball team hosted Temecula Prep on Thursday. Yucca Valley was up at the half 39-36. Coach Matt Jennings said after a close third and fourth quarters, the teams were tied at 78. After two overtimes, the Trojans fell 98-97 when a player from Temecula Prep hit three free throws with no time on the clock.

Jr. Rodriguez: 37 points, six assists
Noah Roy: 26 points, three blocks, three steals
Greg Sanchez: 9 points, 4 steals

The JV team won big 82-28, and they are really starting to come together as a team. Coach Jon Price said their defensive effort really made this game go their way.
