YUCCA VALLEY BASKETBALL AGAINST COACHELLA HIGH SCHOOL RESULTS

The three Yucca Valley High School boys’ basketball teams hosted the Coachella Valley Arabs on Tuesday night in Trojan gym. Coach Matt Jennings said the varsity team won 69-49 with five players in double digits in points, and as a team shot 53 percent from the free throw line. The junior varsity team won 66-25 with a strong bounce back from the Trojans. The frosh team won 44-38 in the first game they played this season. All three teams will travel to Banning on Thursday to play the Broncos.
 
The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team suffered from a cold shooting night and dropped their Desert Valley League opener, 38-23, at Coachella Valley High School last night. 
Sophomores Loryn Brimhall and Sara Mills led the Yucca girls with 11 and nine points respectively.
