YUCCA VALLEY BASEBALL LOSES A HEARTBREAKER

In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School Trojan baseball team dropped a heartbreaker to Cathedral City today by a score of 16-14.

Coach Josh Griswold said the Trojans came back from a 7-2 deficit, and the two teams went back and forth until the Lions went up for good in the seventh inning. Seniors Clay Smith and Brandon Goodpaster both hit home runs, and junior Braden Brimhall had a great day at the plate as well.  The Trojans will look to get back on track against Desert Mirage next Monday at home with a 3:15 start.
