A Yucca Valley artist was honored earlier this month at the Indian Wells Art Festival. David Falossi, and his son, Christopher, took second place in the Rock Star award for their unfinished sculpture entitled “The Guardian.” The sculpture of a mountain lion resting in a cave is being carved out of a 10,000-pound block of limestone.
