Yucca Valley Art Walk has open studios, galleries and businesses showing art all day and night

Tonight is the Yucca Valley Art Walk which typicallytakes place on the 3rd Saturday of each month. There will be lots of galleries and shops open – and Saturday night will be lit up with a barely-waning full moon – a perfect fall night to head out and see some art.

Compound YV: “On the Mend”

At Compound YV, and they are hosting a new exhibition titled “On the Mend” by mixed-media artist Ayin Es. According to the gallery, the collection reflects Ayin’s journey of healing from abuse, disability, surgery and mental illness while navigating their identity as transqueer.

Their paintings include self-portraits, shapes, patchworks of garment patterns, and artwork featuring a non-descript animal named “Dan.”

Rock & Rapture: Desert Mystic Collective

The Rock & Rapture Jewelry and Art Gallery will feature fabulous surrealist oil paintings by the acclaimed Mykl Wells in their new Desert Mystic Collective, which also includes Selene Boutique and Cedar & Sage Crystals.

They are also located right off Highway 62 between Deer and Elk Trail and will be open today from 12:00PM to 8:00PM.

Space Truckin Gallery: “Just Desserts”

Space Truckin Gallery is hosting “Just Desserts”, a group show where all the art is dessert themed.

Artist have created delicious paintings of donuts, crochet pies, watercolor cakes, and other tasty looking sweets.

Hi-Desert Artists are exhibiting a four-person show “Beyond the Sand” with photography, paintings, and mixed media works.
