The Yucca Valley animal shelter will be closed Friday, May 8. Stray animals may be left in the holding pens south of the shelter entrance while the shelter is closed. For animal control emergencies, call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-365-2364. The animal shelter will resume its normal hours Saturday, May 9, and is open from noon to 5.
