Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms HS football brings the heat during extra hot games

The Yucca Valley High School Trojans Football team hosted Canyon Springs in their second game of the season on Friday night. They lost with a score of 21-26.

Head Football Coach Jeremy Johnsons said, “These non league games are the kind of games that will prepare us for league play. This team never quit and played until the final second” .The player of the game was Stephon Rogers who had 133 yards rushing, 215 all purpose yards and two touchdowns. The offensive linemen player of the game is Jaden Thouchalanh. The Defensive standout was Paul Cole who led the team with 16 tackles. The Trojans will host the Hamilton Bobcats on Thursday 9/8/2022, kickoff is at 7pm.

The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats also lost their game against Victor Valley on Friday night, with a final score of 35-7.

The offense was led by Junior quarterback Noah Barber who ran the teams only touchdown in at the goal line. He faced a good Victor Valley defense, but the offense showcased a lot of good things that the team can build on. The defense was led by senior Dylan Todd, who who made several tackles. The defense made great plays throughout the game, and Coach Cole Green said, “The boys worked hard all night long, they fought and showed they had heart until the end of the game.”
