YUCCA VALLEY AND JOSHUA TREE WOMEN ACCUSED OF CHILD ABUSE

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Saturday, accused of felony child abuse. According to a Sheriff’s report, a young boy did not want to go to home from his grandfather’s house, and so his mother, identified as Leslie Middleton, 32, punched him in the back. After an investigation, Leslie Middleton was arrested on suspicion of felony child abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held on no bail arrest warrants. Child Protective Services took custody of Middleton’s three children.
A Joshua Tree woman was arrested for child abuse Friday after she slapped her stepson for swearing at her. According to a Sheriff’s report, Misty Biscamp, 34, was arguing with her stepson about 8:40 Friday morning in the 62500 block of Golden Street in Joshua Tree. The report states that the boy called Biscamp a dirty name, at which time, she allegedly slapped him in the face, causing him to become dizzy and fall. When Biscamp tried to lift him up, the report states she dropped him three times. The boy suffered bruising and lacerations to his face. After an investigation, Misty Biscamp was arrested for felony child abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $50,000.
