3

Early voting begins Monday, June 3, for the Yucca Valley Airport District’s special election set for July 2. On the mail-in ballot is Measure Z, which will impose a special tax only on the 44 voters who own property that abuts the Yucca Valley airport. The tax of two cents per square foot will provide funds to maintain and operate the airport, as required by the Local Agency Formation Commission. In order to pass, two-thirds of the votes cast must be in favor of the special tax.
