This year’s first Youth Summer Arts Class—a young artists’ drawing class for ages 5 to 17—will be held at the Twentynine Palms Art Gallery this Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Recent grants enabled the low-cost art classes for all kids living in the Morongo Basin. Friday the young artists’ drawing class will be divided into three stations led by three artists who will each offer a short lesson on an art principle/element and provide a sample and demonstration. Children will receive a sketch book and rotate through each station. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Young Artists’ Classes are created for students 5 to 17 years old, but parents are welcome to bring younger children at their discretion. Cost is $5 per class per child. All materials are provided.
