Summertime is here, and the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve is ready to take it all in. The preserve will offer two identical one-week Summer Encounter Day Camps, in June. Reporter Tanisha Cureton gives the details…
The Big Morongo Canyon Preserve will hold two, free one-week summer day camps for kids age 9 to 12. The first week-long session starts June 18, with the second camp starting June 25, from 9 to 1. The same themes will be presented in both sessions, so please choose one week or the other. The camps are for kids who are interested in hiking, learning more about the animals’ and much more. Enrollment is limited to the first 15 kids who sign up. Adult guardians are responsible for transportation to and from the preserve. To register, call 760-363-1159.
