WRITING CLASSES OFFERED IN YUCCA VALLEY

Rainbow Stew is offering a class for would be writers, “Everyone Can Write.” Reporter Rebecca Havely has all the details…

Writer Heather Morgan says, “everyone can write, let me show you how.” Far too much is said about how difficult it is to write and not enough about just how accessible it is to every person. Join Morgan for a small lecture Saturday, August 19, from 10:30 to 1:30, followed by an in-class assignment you’ll read after you’ve written it. The cost is $25 to $35, based on what you can afford. Heather Morgan was named one of Variety’s Ten Screenwriters to Watch. She hails from the Groundlings Theater in LA, where she’s has taught improv and writing for over 20 years. She’s written for several television shows and her screen play was an official selection of the Sundance Film Festivals. Lisa Kudrow said of Morgan, “She’s one of the few people who can critique a person’s writing with unyielding honesty and articulation and, somehow, the writer feels like the just got a hug from a cheerleader.” The class will be held at Rainbow Stew, 55509 Twentynine Palms Highway in Old Town Yucca Valley. The class is limited to 10, so call now, 760-418-5170.
