World War II was 1939-1945. During those years there are a couple ways our Twentynine area contributed to the war effort that maybe you didn’t know. Like Navy glider units were trained at what you know now as the Marine Corps air ground combat center. Also the great General Patton used this region to train tank units during world war II. And the people of Twentynine Palms and I greatly thank and appreciate all of the World War II veterans in and out of Twentynine Palms.
