WOOF WALK, THE PIONEERTOWN PARADE OF DOGS, RAISES MONEY FOR THE HUMANE SOCIETY

This year’s Woof Walk, an annual fundraiser for the Joshua Tree No-Kill Animal Shelter, will see a cavalcade of pets parading through Pioneertown. Reporter Jef Harmatz will tell you how to attend what will undoubtedly be one of the desert’s most adorable events.

The 2022 Woof Walk will be held on Saturday (March 26) at the Wild West Theatre in Pioneertown. The event, organized by the Morongo Basin Humane Society, will see pets, shelter dogs, and even humans walk side by side in a pageant of perfect pooches all in an effort to raise donations. In addition to the parade, there will be food, drinks, vendors, raffles, both live and silent auctions, and other entertainment. There will also be demonstrations from U.S. Marines Working Dogs and guests from the Animal Authority Rescue Team and Real Time Rescue. The event begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday and runs until 1 p.m. Parade participants will pay a registration fee of $40 and must register by 9 a.m.
