The 4th annual Woof Walk in Pioneertown raised almost $9,700 March 28 for the Morongo Basin’s no-kill animal shelter in Joshua Tree. President Mimi Mitz said the highlight of the auction was a cruise. Special thanks go to auctioneers Steve Kanold and Lalo Alvarez, and the Reverend Tom Ziegert, Pappy and Harriet’s, Miss Yucca Valley and her court, the Marine Corps K-9s, and the Pioneertown Mane Street Stampede. Mitz also thanked all the volunteers, businesses, vendors and artists who made the event such a success.
