Wonder Valley and the eight other unincorporated communities in the Morongo Basin lost their representation—at least temporarily—when the Municipal Advisory Council or MAC was dissolved in November. That is one of the topics up for discussion tomorrow in Wonder Valley. Reporter Mike Lipsitz fills us in…
At tomorrow’s 11 a.m. Wonder Valley Community Meeting, attendees will hear from former MAC delegate Teresa Sitz about how the unincorporated community east of Twentynine Palms will handle community issues during this period between the dissolution the MAC formed by former County Supervisor James Ramos and the expected reconstitution of a Municipal Advisory Council under new Supervisor Dawn Rowe. Ramos stepped down following his election to the State Assembly representing the 40th District.
Also tomorrow, retired Los Angeles police officer Steve Reyes will offer tips on keeping your property secure. Open to everyone, the meeting takes place at the Wonder Valley Community Center on Amboy Road. More information at WonderValley.org.
