Two boys hiking in the desert in Yucca Valley Tuesday evening found a decomposed body. According to a Sheriff’s report, the boys’ father called law enforcement shortly before 9 p.m. to report his sons had found a woman’s body while hiking in the desert east of Western Hills that evening. The body was too decomposed to determine an identity, but the coroner does not believe foul play is involved. The report states the discovery may be related to a woman who was reported missing Monday morning by a friend following an argument with the woman’s boyfriend Saturday afternoon. The missing person’s report states the woman left the boyfriend’s vehicle near Sierra Vista and Hilton Avenues about 2:30 p.m. Despite a search by deputies and Sheriff’s aviation, they were not able to locate the woman at that time.
