Woman with bat refuses to leave Landers property, resists arrest

On Monday night (July 14), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from a homeowner who saw a woman on their property via surveillance camera footage.

Deputies responded to the home in the 1600 block of Old Woman Springs Road in Landers, where they say they found Kimberly Harwood, 44, on the property holding a baseball bat. Deputies say that Harwood refused to put the baseball bat down and that she refused their orders. Harwood was taken into custody without further incident.

Kimberly Harwood was arrested for obstruction of an investigation, resisting arrest and suspected possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and has since been released on bail.
