WOMAN STOPPED FOR TRESPASSING ASSAULTS SECURITY OFFICER

A Joshua Tree woman, who has more than a dozen trespassing citations from Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms, tried to enter the casino again Tuesday morning using a false identification. About 9 a.m., the security guard recognized Allison Lewallen, 32, as she was coming in and asked her to leave. When they tried to put her in their patrol vehicle, she became combative and struck one security officer in his legs. Security called for Sheriff’s deputies who arrested Allison Lewallen for investigation of assault on an officer, trespassing, and for her $400,000 in arrest warrants, most of which are drug-related charges and petty theft. Lewallen was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $25,000.
