WOMAN INJURED IN SWAT STANDOFF IDENTIFIED; FAMILY STARTS FUNDRAISER

The woman who was held hostage in Yucca Mesa last week has been identified by her family as Danielle Robarge. During the 15-hour stand-off with Sheriff’s deputies and SWAT on June 27, Robarge was beaten, kicked and stomped in the head by Eric Sandoval, 41. About 3 a.m. on Thursday, SWAT members heard a shot and stormed into the house in the 4700 block of Warren Vista where they found that Sandoval had shot Robarge in the head. Deputies shot and killed Sandoval, and Robarge was taken to a local hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition. A fundraiser has been established for Danielle Robarge’s medical bills.
