A Twentynine Palms woman was injured when she crashed her bicycle into a vehicle Christmas Eve. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Derek Garvin, Ashley Echeverria, 18, ran the stop sign at Abronio Avenue and El Paseo and crashed into the passenger side of a Honda, driven by Patricia Vendervees, 66. Garvin said Echeverria was not wearing a helmet and was wearing headphones. Ashley Echeverria suffered head trauma and scrapes, and was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center where she was treated and released.
