A man in Yucca Valley was struck by a car in an alleged assault. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call in the 55900 block of Flamingo Road on Saturday (November 12), in which an unidentified 33 year-old male said he was “run over” by a woman driving a Honda Accord. The suspect, Patricia Leftwich, 40, of Desert Hot Springs, is known to the victim.
According to the Sheriff’s report, Leftwich hit the victim with her car, then rammed his gate, causing approximately $1000 in damage, before fleeing southbound on Old Woman Springs Road. The victim declined medical attention at the scene of the crime. Patricia Leftwich was located later in Yucca Valley, where she was arrested on suspicion of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Felony Vandalism. She is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
