A Joshua Tree woman who was stopped on a routine traffic stop was jailed after the deputy determined she had a warrant for her arrest, and was then arrested on a separate felony drug charge at the jail. According to a Sheriff’s report, Heather Cash, 31, of the 61400 block of Valley View Drive, was stopped by a deputy near Adobe Road and Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms about 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Cash had a $10,000 misdemeanor warrant for her arrest for possession of methamphetamine, and the deputy also discovered suspected meth inside the vehicle. The report states the deputy repeatedly told Cash that if she brought drugs into the jail it was a felony drug charge, but she denied having any more drugs. While Cash was being checked into the jail, suspected methamphetamine was found hidden in her clothing. Heather Cash was arrested for bringing a controlled substance into jail, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with her total bail set at $35,000.
