WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DUI AFTER DRIVING INTO HER EX-BOYFRIENDS HOUSE

A 31-year-old woman ran into some trouble Sunday afternoon … quite literally. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Viridiana Garrett drove to her ex-boyfriend’s house in the 56100 block of Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley just before 5 p.m. Sunday. Garrett attempted to drive off after learning her ex-boyfriend was not at home, crashing in to the garage door as she left the scene. Sheriff’s deputies found Garrett in her vehicle a block away. Their report describes Garrett as having a strong odor of alcohol, slurred speech, blood shot watery eyes, and unable to keep her balance. Debris from the front of her ex-boyfriend’s house was still on the front of her vehicle. Viridiana Garrett was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, hit and run, vandalism, and registering a blood alcohol level of .08 percent or greater, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, cited and released.
