WOMAN ARRESTED FOR CHILD ENDANGERMENT HAD PRIOR CONVICTION FOR THE SAME

A woman convicted of child abuse in a Rancho Cucamonga court four years ago was arrested Wednesday, accused of abusing four children in Yucca Valley. Detective Cathy Tabor said deputies were called to the 7300 block of Joshua View Drive on August 12, 2018, to investigate a case of child abuse. The victims—all juveniles—were known to the suspect, identified as Brittany Asfahani, 29, of the 7300 block of Joshua View Drive, but detectives refused to release information about their relationship to her or said only that the abuse the children suffered was physical in nature. After a lengthy investigation, deputies arrested Brittany Asfahani 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station in Joshua Tree on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $100,000. During the investigation, detectives learned that Brittany Asfahani is on felony probation for a 2015 charge of willful cruelty to a child.
