A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after she was found with a billy club following a traffic stop in Landers. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy saw a black sedan driving erratically southbound on Belfield Boulevard about 3:30 p.m. The deputy stopped the car at Belfield and Reche Road, and determined that the vehicle’s license plate had been reported stolen. During a search of the car, the deputy found a billy club hidden between the driver’s seat and the door, and drug paraphernalia on the floor by the gas pedal. The deputy also determined that the car’s driver, Somer Caldwell, 28, was under the influence of methamphetamine. Somer Caldwell was arrested for investigation of possession of a billy club and for having a false vehicle registration. Caldwell was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $25,000.
