A Twentynine Palms woman is behind bars, accused of deliberately hitting another woman with her car Saturday. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Alyssa Streets, 24, and Brittany Williams were at a party in Twentynine Palms when Williams allegedly took Streets’ cell phone and left the party shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday. Street caught up to Williams near Sun Valley Drive and Bagley Avenue and started chasing her around in circles in her vehicle before she finally hit Williams. When deputies arrived, they found Williams lying in the dirt with Street and her vehicle nearby. Alyssa Street was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence, causing bodily injury, and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $100,000. Brittany Williams was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where she was treated for head trauma and abrasions and released.
