An Anderson, California, woman was arrested Sunday morning, accused of attempting to deliberately run over someone with her truck in Twentynine Palms. According to a Sheriff’s report, Georgia Prather, 50, was leaving the home in the 5900 block of Mariposa Avenue about 11:45 a.m. Sunday in her Chevy pick-up truck. Her ex-boyfriend said he stood in front of a fence to prevent her from hitting it, and when Prather put her truck in reverse, she nearly hit a 4-year-old child who was riding a bicycle behind the truck. A witness at the scene told dispatcher Prather hit her boyfriend with her truck two times. After an investigation, Georgia Prather was arrested on suspicion of attempted assault with a deadly weapon, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $25,000.
