A Cathedral City woman was arrested in Yucca Valley Sunday afternoon, accused of felony driving under the influence. About 5 p.m., Brianna Lopez, 24, crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Yucca Trail and Palomar Avenue in Yucca Valley. The other driver, who was injured in the crash, suspected that Lopez was drunk, and called Sheriff’s deputies. Deputies determined that Lopez’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit of .08. Brianna Lopez was arrested for investigation of felony driving under the influence, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $100,000.
