WOMAN AND BOYFRIEND SUSPECTED OF BURGLARIZING HER BROTHER’S HOME

A woman and her boyfriend were arrested after they were found breaking into her brother’s home in Yucca Valley. Deputies were called to the 58200 block of Campanula Street just before 10 a.m. Saturday by a man who said his neighbor told him there was a strange vehicle in his driveway, with what appeared to be bags of items from the house by the door. He said no one had permission to be at his home, and if there was anyone there, it was probably his sister, Regina Silva, 40, her children, and her boyfriend, Michael Shepherd, 43. When deputies arrived, they found the back sliding door had been pried open, and Shepherd leaving the house. Inside the home were Silva and her minor children. Michael Shepherd and Regina Silva were arrested for investigation of burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $75,000 and $25,000 respectively. The children were taken into custody by Children and Family Services.
