The National Weather Service is predicting rain and snow to arrive. The storm will produce lower temperatures and possible snow accumulation down to 2,500 feet elevation. The California Department of Transportation warns motorists that snow and ice may accumulate on our local roads during today’s predicted storm, and drivers are encouraged to take be alert, slow down, and use headlights while driving. Avoid traveling if possible during storms, and check road conditions before you head out. Anticipate delays and longer travel time. If you are traveling into the mountains, motorists must carry chains and know how to install and use them. Keep blankets, water, snacks, phone chargers, and flashlights in your vehicle, and make sure you have a full tank of gas.
