WITH FIRE DANGER HIGH, CALFIRE SUSPENDS BURNING PERMITS

While Northern California received rains this winter and spring, southern California is still in the midst of a multi-year drought. Due to increased fire danger from the drought CAL FIRE has suspended all burn permits for outdoor residential burning within the State Responsibility Area of San Bernardino county. This suspension takes effect Monday, June 13, and bans all residential outdoor burning of landscape debris like branches and
leaves. Campfires in campgrounds or on private property may be permitted if they are maintained to prevent their spread to wildlands. Campfire permits can be obtained at local fire stations and online at PreventWildfireCA.org. In addition, residents should maintain a minimum of 100 feet of defensible space around every home.
