“Witches” premieres at Theatre 29 with fundraiser gala

Roald Dahl’s “The Witches” opened at Theatre 29 in Twentynine Palms last Friday, (October 6) with an opening night gala serving as a special benefit for the Theatre 29 organization. Funds raised at the event will help to offset recent improvements to the seating area and upgrades to the lighting and sound systems.

The supportive patrons enjoyed a themed meal catered by Kerry Jimenez, a lively auction for special seating followed by a great selection of silent auction items and a 50-50 raffle. The event netted some $3,500 in greatly needed funding, and the first performance of the show received a standing ovation..

Directed by Nena Jimenez, “Roald Dahl’s The Witches” will run weekends at Theatre 29 through October 22nd with performances Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30pm. Tickets are available now by calling 760-361-4151 or visiting theatre29.org
