The Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s winter lecture series kicks off Thursday, January 9, with a noon lecture on meteorites by Dr. Stephenie Slahor. Dr. Slahor will discuss meteor origins and characteristics along with stories about them, and will be available after the lecture to sign copies of her book, Meteors. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
