The Wildlands Conservancy is celebrating a new state program designed to protect our unique desert environment this Friday May 13th at the Whitewater Preserve.
Special guest Assemblymember James C. Ramos will be there to talk about his California Desert Protection Program that Governor Newsom recently signed into law.
The program will mean additional state funding for protection, preservation, and restoration of natural and cultural resources as well as biological diversity, controlling invasive species and improving habitat connectivity. Gates will open at 9:30 am the celebrating will begin at 10:30 with Assemblymember Ramos, followed by a performance of Native American Bird singers and dancers and catered lunch.
